A Hybrid Model
Established by Caitlin Kelly-McKenna in 2022, Kelly-McKenna Gallery operates as a hybrid platform integrating a contemporary art gallery, a full-service advisory practice, and professional valuation and appraisal services. This model allows us to support collectors across every stage of engagement with art, from discovery and acquisition to long-term stewardship and strategic planning.
A Different Environment
What distinguishes this model is the environment in which it operates. From our serene space in Spring Lake, New Jersey, just a short distance from New York City, we offer a deliberate alternative to the pace and pressure of the urban art world. This is, in many ways, an ongoing experiment: to present and experience art in a setting that supports mental clarity, encourages slower looking, and allows for more thoughtful decision-making. Our coastal setting invites collectors to step outside the noise, to spend time with works of art, and to engage in meaningful dialogue without urgency. It is an approach grounded in the belief that the best collecting decisions are made not under pressure, but through sustained attention and genuine connection.
Exhibitions & Advisory
The gallery presents a thoughtfully curated program of emerging and mid-career artists through year-round exhibitions. Alongside the exhibition program, our advisory practice offers tailored guidance to both public and private collectors. Working across both the primary and secondary markets, we provide strategic support in building and refining collections, sourcing significant works, and navigating acquisitions with clarity and confidence.
Valuation & Appraisal
Our valuation and appraisal services further extend this ecosystem, offering rigorous, USPAP-compliant reports prepared by an AAA-certified appraiser. These services include retail replacement appraisals for insurance, as well as valuations for resale and collection management ensuring that each work is understood not only aesthetically, but within its broader market context.
