Brigid Kennedy is a multidisciplinary artist whose paintings and sculptures explore the boundary between interior and exterior space, bringing together domestic furniture, architectural fragments and everyday objects alongside landscapes, foliage and streetscapes to create scenes that blur into one another without settling into a single place or time. She works across oil, acrylic, graphite and collage, building up layered surfaces where translucent and opaque passages sit alongside visible stitching and adhesives. Windows, chair backs and potted plants recur throughout as anchoring motifs. Her practice sits within a long tradition of interior representation while remaining engaged with contemporary questions of space, care and cultural permeability.
