Charley Peters is a painter, public artist, writer, and curator whose work translates the visual languages of digital culture into material form. Drawing from hard-edged abstraction, screen-based imagery, simulated spaces, and AI-generated visual effects, Peters constructs paintings that oscillate between digital illusion and physical surface. Her work uses color, geometry, gradients, and layered painterly systems to create perceptual spaces where synthetic image culture, modernist abstraction, and the material language of paint collide. She has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, with recent presentations at APT Gallery, Kelly-McKenna Gallery, Hauser & Wirth, Meakin + Parsons, Z20 Sara Zanin Gallery, Yantai Art Museum, and the National Museum of Gdansk. Peters has also created commissions for public and cultural contexts including Hospital Rooms, Wembley Park, London Art Fair, Facebook/Meta, ITV, and House of Vans. She is Head of Graduate School at City & Guilds of London Art School, a visiting mentor at Turps Art School, and a Senior Lecturer and PhD Supervisor at University of the Arts London.
