Spring Lake, NJ – Kelly-McKenna Gallery is proud to present Secret Summer, our fall group exhibition showcasing an exciting selection of painting, sculpture, and mixed-media works by both international and domestic artists. On view from September 27 through November 12, 2024, Secret Summer highlights works by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet, Rémy de Haenen, Peter Diepenbrock, Hilary Doyle, Jane LaFarge Hamill, Alexis Herman, Marcos Kueh, Kelcie Mack, Geri Cohen Mizrahi, Hannah Polskin, Rob Ventura, Vanessa Vélez, Walter Robinson, and Annie Wildey. An exhibition reception will be held on Thursday, October 26, from 6–8 PM.

The title Secret Summer originates from a conversation between Caitlin Kelly-McKenna and one of the featured artists, reflecting on the best part of the year—the months just after the summer rush. As the air turns crisp and the ocean reaches its prime, the quiet beauty of the season emerges, offering a sense of renewal and reflection. For those in the know, this is the real summer, a time to savor the landscape in solitude.

Through diverse artistic interpretations, Secret Summer captures this ephemeral transition, from luminous color palettes reminiscent of golden autumn light to tactile surfaces evoking the textures of nature. This exhibition invites viewers to experience the hidden beauty of the in-between moments, those fleeting yet profound interludes between seasons.
