Summer Showcase: Geri Cohen Mizrahi
“Geri’s practice insists that the everyday is worthy of wonder. By transforming refuse into radiant objects, she invites us to see possibility where we once saw waste.”
Kelly-McKenna Gallery is pleased to present Summer Showcase: Geri Cohen Mizrahi, on view August 14 – September 14, 2025. The exhibition spotlights Cohen Mizrahi’s mixed-media panels and wall sculptures, where reclaimed canvas, plastics, and fabric fuse with resin and spray paint to blur the line between painting, relief, and collage. Hovering between two and three dimensions, these new works meditate on regeneration and new motherhood, transforming everyday materials into shimmering sites of possibility.
In this new body of work the artist turns to themes of regeneration—drawing on her recent experience of motherhood to “freeze fleeting moments before they dissolve,” as she notes in her studio statement. “Geri’s practice insists that the everyday is worthy of wonder,” says Caitlin Kelly-McKenna, Gallery Director. “By transforming refuse into radiant objects, she invites us to see possibility where we once saw waste.”
