Adrienne Lee
Adrienne Lee (b. 1998) is an American artist whose work bridges the fields of art and neuroscience. Drawing from her academic background, she explores the intersections between visual expression and cognitive science, using her practice to investigate the relationship between perception, memory, and the mind.
Lee earned a BA in Studio Art with Honors and a minor in Neuroscience from Davidson College. Her work has been exhibited at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health in Maryland, where it has been on view since 2021, and is part of the permanent collection at the E. Craig Wall Jr. Academic Center at Davidson College. In 2019, she participated in the International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Assisi, Italy. Lee’s practice has garnered recognition, including an Honorable Mention in the Art of Neuroscience Annual Competition (2021) and Best Submission in Sculpture at the Organization for Human Brain Mapping Conference (2019). She has also been a featured artist at the 32nd European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Congress and in Arts and Society by UNESCO-MOST (both 2019). Her work has been featured in Scientific American.
