Split Level Fair: Resurrect Studio & Nike Schroeder
SPLIT LEVEL FAIR is set up to create space for intimacy, collaboration, and experimentation.
Split Level Fair is a new, design-driven art fair that brings together a roster of young galleries dedicated to championing emerging artists working across painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. The fair was conceived as an alternative to the traditional booth-based model: instead of rigid partitions, Split Level transforms Rimadesio’s contemporary design showroom into a fluid, multi-layered exhibition space. This approach encourages collaboration between galleries and artists while inviting visitors to experience unexpected juxtapositions of art and design.
The fair also incorporates live performances, screenings, and artist talks, creating an environment that is as much about dialogue and exchange as it is about presentation. By keeping participating groups small and installations intimate, Split Level offers a more personal encounter with contemporary art, allowing audiences to ask questions, slow down, and connect directly with both artworks and their makers.
Featured artists presented by Kelly-McKenna Gallery include American artists Resurrect Studio and German sculptor Nike Schroeder, both of whom bring materially inventive practices to the fair. Resurrect Studio’s resin and glass forms blur the boundary between fragility and permanence, while Schroeder’s signature thread-based sculptures hover between painting and textile, refracting light and color into architectural space.
Together, these artists embody the fair’s ethos: contemporary work that resonates across disciplines, contexts, and audiences.
